International Institute on Peace Education, IIPE 2012 is held at NWEC, National Womens Educaton Center in Saitama, Japan, with the theme of “Educating for Human Security & Survival: Emergencies in Ecology, Energy, Economy.” on Aug 12 - 19.

This IIPE was originally scheduled to take place in 2011, however, the earthquake, tsunami and resulting nuclear plant disaster of March 11, 2011 caused enormous damage in the northeastern part of Japan, forcing us to postpone the event until this summer.
